Our experienced leaders work hard to ensure our members receive the best quality medical care.

Marshall Thomas, MD, President and CEO, is responsible for advancing Colorado Access's corporate mission and providing executive oversight for all programs.

Dr. Thomas has been with Colorado Access for the past two decades, raising the level of CEO responsibility to appoint him President and CEO in 2006. Throughout his career, Dr. Thomas has worked to develop integrated, responsive care systems and develop patient-provider collaboration. He is a national expert in charge of improving patient health outcomes by integrating medical and behavioral health care. Under his leadership, Colorado has established strong business practices, expanded its customer base and reorganized its internal practices to support clients and service providers and improve security systems. In addition to his position at Colorado Access, Dr. Thomas is Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine and is in charge of the President of Marisco Excellence and CEO of the Helen & Arthur E. Johnson Medical Center at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

He is a psychiatrist and has been involved in the foster care system in Colorado since 1980. Dr. Thomas received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
